Have any of you ever installed a car tire on the rear of a Harley touring bike.  I have an 07 Ultra Classic and am interested in some history of someones experience.  I have 26k miles on my bike and don't like the milage I get from my oem tires on the rear.

Have you tried it and how did it work?

I am new here but not new to riding.  Am 55 now and have been riding since I was 10.  I enjoy riding regular in all kinds of traffic.  Never have had an accident that put me in the hospital.  Of course it is not too late.  I try to ride a safe as I can and expect every other driver to do something stupid.  I expect every body to do the unexpected as my friend Johnny said.

Now how bout it?  Car tire or not?
