Favorite All Time Classic Harley
- Message
'74 Iron Head Sportster. I like 'em rigid and loud! Gotta be a kicker though. None of that pussy electric start crap!
I have got no such claasic models to talk about...
MY favorite Classic (other than my 72 shovel) would be either a 1972 Night Train or a 1981 Sturgis.
1977-'79 XLCR. Wanted one in High School and wish I could find one some
day. Only 9 were produced in 1979 but my pop wouldn't buy me one for
graduation.
The Cafe Racer was so advanced for it's time.
Mine is the 99 FXR (CVO)in arresting red. It was by far the best model made. Resembled the bagger frame of today and was a great handling bike.
My favorite is, 1969 900cc XLCH Sportster. Man she had it going "ON" !!! Looks, sound, and power.''Tuff as bike" !!! HI-Tek Rednek...
Nothing beats the first year Electra-Glide.
I like the WLA/WLC do not care which rigid frame, Kicker, Foot Clutch, Springers, hmmmmmmmm proper old bike cost way to much.........
My favorite is the one I'm getting ready to go ride with the misses - a 2007 Heritage Classic!
Ya just can't beat a 94 FXSTC.....
I like the wla but i have to admit the new night rod special looks the dogs dangly bits will i swap the fat guy for one ?????????????????? maybe.
1962 Duo-Glide. Pure sweetness!!!!!!!

I like the old knuckleheads. I've started researching where I can get the stuff to build a WLA, I think it is, that the Army used for courier bikes. Gonna be a helluva project but i think it can be pulled off. Won't BE original--that would be the holy grail-- but it will damn sure look and sound the part!!
I don't think I could pick a fav. The Panhead to the twin cam or even the V-rod motor, they all represent an era and made their mark in history pages of this country.
My all time is a 47 Knuck. Rigid, Kicker, thats when men were men and women were glad of it. I always knew I was born 20 years too late.
Hey Joe, I'm like you, would love a project!! This is the sort of
thing I would love to build! This, or a Knuckle, wouldn't matter!!!!
I've had a few bikes, from a 55 chopper (a show winner) to a 77 lowrider to my current 06 electrglide. I often hear how much better the new bikes are compared to the old ones, and I'm sure they probably are but I truley believe the best bike I ever had was a 58 duoglide. I didn't leave it stock but mildly custom (seat, pipes, minus windshield and bags). Smooth, stable and very dependable, and very few problems. Most troublesome is a toss-up between the 55 chopper(vibrated like hell, lost many parts) and the 77 lowrider not counting the british bikes.
I liked the pic of the 1937VL 74ci.
That is sooo cool. I want one.
I love the 71 superglide . i have bought the 06 35 aniversary
The 72 night train was the Hd that hooked me in 1972 friend had one did
a little back yard chopping to it i was hook on Hd from that day on.
Those were some crazy times
Well, its the Iron that does it for me....I am torn between Knuckleheads and Ironhead Sporties....
58 DuoGlide, 65 ElectraGlide, 81 FXWG...but the one I'll never forget was the 1st one... 62 DuoGlide June1963
My all time favorite is the 1949 Hydra Glide. I can't post a pic yet though. ...HDP
I guess this would be mine (2006 Heritage Classic), but then I'm prejudiced, I love them both.lol
It has got to be my 49panhead
I like 1962 Duo-Glide.This bike is awsome...
